Children who have experienced abuse and neglect face so many frightening unknowns. Courtrooms, foster care, new schools, a never-ending stream of case workers, and the trauma that comes with it all.

CASA for Children works to ensure that these children do not have to navigate the court system and foster care system on their own. CASA volunteers are trained and familiar with each child on their case and stand with them every step of the way in the courtroom and in the community, protecting their best interests.

CASA volunteers ensure that each child's unique needs continue to be a priority in a crowded child welfare system. Volunteers ensure that children are safe, have the shortest path to a stable home, and have the best chance of success. During a child's time in the CPS system, there may be many social workers, lawyers, therapists, teachers and caregivers – but only one CASA volunteer.

Applications for CASA for Children’s July training session are now open. Even with more than 50 volunteers available, there are still children awaiting a CASA volunteer. These children need caring, compassionate adult volunteers to give them a voice. No previous experience or training is required. Volunteers must be able to provide 10-12 hours of service per month and must be at least 21 years of age with a heart and desire to help children.

Volunteers are needed in all four counties we serve - Muskogee, Wagoner, Sequoyah, and McIntosh.
